Sonya began her career in television, gaining hands-on experience across documentary, promo, and social projects, including her work at the independent TV channel TV RAIN (Dozhd) during its formative years. This background gave her a broad production perspective — from storytelling and directing to editing and creative development

Transitioning into freelance directing, Sonya has worked with global brands and internationally recognized musicians, creating visually distinctive films and commercial work that resonates with audiences. Her short film “Awakening” received multiple awards at international film festivals, while her commercial projects have earned advertising awards and Vimeo Staff Pick recognition.
